RIP, Stanislaw Lem

Stanislaw Lem died yesterday. Because of sf's hugely American bias, he never received the full notoriety he deserved. While he was hugely important, I suspect that his passing will not be as widely noted as it should be.

I must admit that although I know how important his work is, I've never actually read any of it. It seems like an appropriate time to correct the error of my ways.
